This issue of BMJ Supportive & Palliative Care, the first of volume four, marks the twelfth since we were launched and three whole years publication of our journal. So it is with great pleasure that I can at last answer the most common question that authors ask. Yes, BMJ Supportive & Palliative Care is now indexed on MEDLINE and for our early contributors, MEDLINE coverage will begin with Volume 1, issue 1 (June 2011).
This seems a good time to thank our associate editors, editorial board members, authors and, particularly our reviewers. As I often remark, although the process of peer review is by no means perfect, reviewers do one of the most important jobs in science for no money, no prestige and without any expectation of gratitude.
